I was born in Lakin, Kansas on July 12 1961.  My dad was a Baptist minister and my mom a librarian.  I have one brother, Paul who is three years older than me.  I grew up in a strong Christain family and accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour at a young age.  In my teens I began to take my faith more seriously and did my first mission trip at age 16.  From then on I fell in love with Spanish and with Latin people.  I also enjoyed working with children and after graduating from High School went on to get my teaching degree from Messiah College in Pennslyvania.  In 1994 the Lord opened the doors for me to do missionary work in Mexico.  I have been here ever since and love it!
